HOW CAN SOMEONE RENT WHITE WATER CAMP?
That is a very good question. The first thing you need to do is decide what dates you want to have an event and call First United Methodist Church in Prattville, Alabama at 334-365-5977 and ask for Freda Clark. She is the Program Secretary for the church and she has agreed to be the camp's contact with the community. Give her your dates and she will let you know if they are available and if so will invite you to the church which is located at 100 East Fourth Street, Prattville, Alabama 36067. (She will be glad to give you directions if you have never been there.) Once there she will give you a blank copy of the White Water Camp Facility Use Contract. This contract clearly states that White Water Camp is available to Christian groups and is intended to enrich the lives of individuals and to glorify Jesus Christ. If your event falls into this category you should have no trouble being approved. Just fill out the contract stating which buildings you will need at the camp. There is a list describing each building on the back of the contract. There is a price for each building or one price for the entire camp per day. Some people only want the tabernacle for a meeting or gathering which is only $40.00 per day and some want the entire camp with all of the buildings opened for $150.00 per day. It just depends on your event and how big or small your group is. Once the contract is completed, signed and returned to Freda in the church office along with a check made payable to White Water Camp for the amount listed on the contract your event will be added to the Camp calendar. Our bookings are done on a first come first serve basis so book early. We ask that your events be booked 30 days in advance so that the White Water Board has a chance to review each contract. On the day of your event you will need to stop by First United Methodist Church in Prattville and Freda will give you the keys needed for your event. Please remember that each day that the keys are in your possession will be the same as a day's rental of the camp so turn the keys in as soon as possible after your event. The only exception to this is a weekend event where the keys are picked up on Friday. If the White Water Camp Board of Directors feels that an event will not meet the mission statement for the camp then it reserves the right to refuse or cancel reservations or camping experiences by groups or individuals.
